Practice regulations

General


These practice regulations apply to all consultations and treatments within MYKI, a practice for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). By making an appointment, the client agrees to these regulations. The therapist works within the professional code, ethical guidelines, and quality standards set by these professional organizations.

MYKI works according to the guidelines of:


LVNT– National Association of Naturopathic Therapists

RBCZ– Register of Complementary Care Professionals


Appointments & Cancellations


  • Appointments can be made until 24 hours in advance be rescheduled or cancelled free of charge.
  • In case of cancellation within 24 hours or no-show, the full consultation fee will be charged.
  • An appointment is final after confirmation by email/message.


Treatment & Method


During the initial consultation, a TCM anamnesis is performed, including pulse diagnosis, tongue diagnosis, and questioning. Treatments may include:

  • Acupuncture
  • Moxa
  • Cupping
  • Tuina/shiatsu therapy
  • TCM nutritional advice

Treatments are tailored to the client's individual situation. Clients can ask questions or end their treatment at any time.


Medical Information & Responsibility


  • The client is responsible for fully and honestly sharing medical information and medication use.
  • TCM therapy is not a substitute for regular medical care. If in doubt, a referral to a physician is recommended.
  • MYKI reserves the right to refuse treatment if it is not medically or ethically justifiable.


Privacy & GDPR


  • MYKI treats all data and information confidentially and in accordance with theGDPR(General Data Protection Regulation).
  • Data will only be used for therapeutic purposes and administration.
  • Data will not be shared with third parties without explicit permission, unless legally required.
  • Files are kept in accordance with the retention obligations of LVNT and RBCZ.


Hygiene & Safety


  • High hygiene standards are adhered to.
  • Acupuncture needles aresterile and single-use.
  • Materials and treatment rooms are carefully cleaned.
  • In case of illness (fever, infections, contagious diseases), we request that clients contact us in a timely manner to reschedule their appointment.


Payment


  • Payment takes place after the treatment, unless otherwise agreed.
  • Payment can be made by cash, tikkie or bank transfer.


Rates & Reimbursements


  • Current rates can be found on the MYKI website.
  • MYKI is registered withLVNTandRBCZ, which means that consultations are often (partly) reimbursed through supplementary health insurance.
  • The client remains responsible for submitting declarations to the health insurer.


Code of Conduct


  • Respectful interaction between client and therapist is mandatory.
  • Inappropriate or transgressive behavior will not be tolerated; treatment may be terminated immediately and costs will be charged.
  • The therapist reserves the right to discontinue treatment if the situation requires this.


Complaints procedure


  • MYKI strives to provide high-quality care. If you have any complaints, please discuss them with your therapist first.
  • If necessary, the client can contact:
  • LVNT– professional association (complaints procedure)
  • RBCZ– disciplinary law via TCZ


Force majeur


In the event of force majeure, such as illness or other unforeseen circumstances, MYKI can reschedule or cancel an appointment free of charge.
